Dew the Dew

First off I’d like to say that I appreciate your interest and welcome your support for Just Dewey It. In my 22 years of living, I have learned that my biggest priority in life is self-improvement. There have always been things in my life that have motivated me to strive to become a better human; friends, family, career aspirations, watermelon eating contest, etc. I always find that I am happiest when I am taking the steps to improve myself. This blog is one of those steps. From it, I hope to become a better writer, critic, researcher, and illusion artist.
One could ask, ‘If this is just for your own purposes, Charlie, then why don’t you keep all this malarkey to yourself?’. All I can say is this. Yes I realize I am an egotistical prick for putting so much effort into telling other people about my life. But bottom line, my parents spent $150,000 on an English degree that exists only in my brain. So if I don’t know how to write something worth reading, I might as well just castrate myself and become a monk, or take massive amounts of Enzyte and join the porno industry. One or the other, because frankly in either situation I would be serving the world better than being another chump polluting the internet with mindless drabble.
To give a brief life update, I graduated from Providence College last May.  Following graduation, I moved down to Long Island where I lived with my grandfather.  During the week I worked in New York City as a production/locations assistant on various movies/ TV shows(Ugly Betty, Law and Order, Remember Me).  On the weekends I visited family at various locations on Long Island, visited my brother in the city, and went on excursions with my grandfather.  I will be sure to post some journal entries detailing some of the adventures I had living with my grandfather.
I am currently working as a CPA(Camera Production Assistant) for the next two months on a cable show called Ghost Hunters.  We will be traveling to various places along the east coast.  So far I am really enjoying it.
At the moment, it is my day off and I am hanging out in the fort that I built in my hotel room. I figured that this would be a perfect time to start the blog I have been putting off all summer!

Certainly not my best work. A little sloppy, but
I think I did well with what I had to work with.  Notice the blinds usage.
That's it for now. Thank you for your support and please leave comments.
